Match Preview: Langhenkel Volley Vs Dynamo Apeldoorn

On Saturday the 28th of January, there is a clash at the top of the A-league as number 1, Langhenkel Volley, takes on number 2, Dynamo Apeldoorn in the Rozengaarde Arena, Doetinchem. The match gives Langhenkel volley an opportunity to have a comfortable 6 point lead at the top as at current standings, the unbeaten Langhenkel volley have a 3 point lead from Dynamo, but with one game less played. Now these three points on offer could have an effect in who finishes the regular season in first position, with a just a hand full of games remaining.

This will be the third time that these two teams have met this season. The first was in the Supercup final in Zwolle, in which Langhenkel won 3-0 in a tight and competitive game. Tight and competitive are words not to be used when describing the second meeting between these two, the first league meeting, however. In the second match, Langhenkel turned up in the home of Dynamo and played the game of the season so far, by simply crushing their opposition 3-0 in less than 55 minutes. The coach of Dynamo was heard saying ‘I have never seen anything like it’ when speaking after the match, so surely the players on the wrong side of the result will be desperate to prove a point against Langhenkel and come out all guns blazing on Saturday.

For the game Saturday, the player line up will be slightly different for Langhenkel from what it was in the previous wins, as starting middle player Jasper Diefenbach is still sidelined from the knee injury picked up earlier in the season when playing in the CEV European Challenge Cup. However, come this at little advantage for the opposition as his replacement, Dik Heusinkveld, is more than up for the job.

We hope to see a full house and noisy crowd in the Rozengaarde on Saturday night, to support and push Langhenkel to another win over their championship rivals.
